“Attending medical school at St. Matthew’s University gave me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone, meet many new people and start conversations along the way about my future as a yearning dermatologist. Along with the tools SMU gave me in class and studying hard, I sought out every opportunity to volunteer along the way to make myself a stronger candidate. In the end, I knew I would only regret the chances I didn't take since obtaining a residency in dermatology as an IMG did not come from staying in my comfort zone.”
