Academic Preparedness

The Master’s program prepares students with upper-level science coursework to develop a strong medical education foundation, which is essential for success in an MD program. The accelerated curriculum will help students acclimate themselves to the rigors of medical school, offering them a unique opportunity to enhance their academic skills, expand their medical knowledge, and develop key study and time management strategies. Courses are led by dedicated instructors with extensive knowledge in their respective fields, which helps deliver an impactful educational experience.

Student-Centered Schedules

The curriculum was designed to be accessible to students from around the world. It is offered on-campus at MUA (on the Caribbean island of Nevis) or online, with new classes starting in January, May or September. Full-time, part-time and asynchronous attendance are also options. However, we recommend that students consider the full-time, in-person approach, as that will allow them to best focus on their education opportunities and achieve success in the program.

Individualized Support

Program instructors and staff are committed to helping all students achieve their goal of entering medical school and becoming practicing doctors. They work closely with students to help them enhance their medical knowledge, prepare for future studies and achieve meaningful success in the Master’s program. Individualized academic and personal support is available, through office hours with faculty and strong Student Support Services, such as The Learning Center, where students can learn how to implement important study strategies and techniques. This impactful support network is designed to help every single student make the most of the pre-medical Master’s program.
