Affiliation Agreements

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has established pathway agreements so that you can earn your Doctor of Medicine degree. These agreements allow you to complete prerequisite courses at one of our undergraduate college and university partner institutions to meet the admissions prerequisites at St. Matthew’s.

GUS Medical Schools announce partnership with American University of Sharjah (AUS), which will implement a new educational pathway for students in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Established in 1885, Anderson College is one of Canada’s leading educational establishments. With a century-long legacy and a presence across ten Ontario locations and one in British Columbia, the institution has facilitated the transition of more than 100,000 students into fields spanning health, business, and technology.

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has partnered with Atlas University (AU) to offer qualified students an opportunity to complete a Doctor of Medicine Degree, following the pathway program offered at AU.

Atlas University, located in Istanbul and founded in 2018, engages in research and science with a strong academic staff and innovative style.

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has partnered with Avila University (AU) to offer qualified students an opportunity to complete a Doctor of Medicine Degree, following the pathway program offered at AU.

Avila University, a Catholic University founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, is a values-based community of learning providing liberal arts, professional, undergraduate and graduate education to prepare students for responsible lifelong contributions to the global community.

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has partnered with Beal University to offer qualified students an opportunity to complete a Doctor of Medicine Degree.

Beal University is a private, career-focused university based in Bangor, Maine that has been educating busy professionals for over 130 years.

GUS Medical Schools and the College of Graduate Studies at California Northstate University (CNUCGS) are pleased to share a new collaboration, which will benefit students in the Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences Program (MPS) by enhancing their opportunities to gain admittance to our MD programs.

GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Canadian University Dubai (CUD), marking a significant milestone in international education collaboration. This partnership presents Middle Eastern students with a unique opportunity to fulfill their dreams of becoming physicians, with the added advantage of practicing in either the U.S. or Canada.

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has partnered with Central Methodist University (CMU) to offer qualified students an opportunity to complete a Doctor of Medicine Degree, following the pathway program offered at CMU.

Founded in 1854, Central Methodist University is a four-year, private, liberal arts university. CMU’s main campus, home to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), is located in Fayette, Missouri, enrolling 1,100 students.

GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools – SUSOM, MUA and SMU – are pleased to announce a new partnership with Gulf Medical University (GMU). This collaboration will provide enhanced pathways for GMU students to enter one of our three MD programs or our DVM program.

Canadian medical students at St. Matthew’s now have access to an additional elective rotation with Health One in Toronto, Canada. This collaboration makes St. Matthew’s along with sister schools, MUA and Saba, the only Caribbean institutions with an extensive rotation network in Canada.

Through this partnership, students will gain hands-on clinical experience across specialties, have access to the latest innovations in medical technology, treat diverse patient populations, and receive mentorship from healthcare professionals.

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has partnered with Ontario Tech University (OTU) to offer qualified students an opportunity to complete a Doctor of Medicine Degree, following the pathway program offered at OTU.

Ontario Tech University (OTU), also known as Ontario Tech, is a public research university located in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has partnered with Thompson River University (TRU) to offer qualified students an opportunity to complete a Doctor of Medicine Degree, following the pathway program offered at TRU.

Since 1970, TRU has been committed to offering a high-quality education to students from diverse backgrounds, at different points in their learning journey. The University caters to over 25,000 students, with campuses in Kamloops and Williams Lake, as well as distance and online courses through Open Learning.

Aspiring doctors and in the Cayman Islands now have a clearer path to leading healthcare professionals through a ground-breaking partnership between St. Matthews University and the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI).

Under this partnership, UCCI will enhance its undergraduate pre-medical and science programs to equip Caymanian students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel at SMU’s medical and school. 

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has an articulation agreement with the University of New Haven (UNH) to offer qualified students an opportunity to pursue a Doctor of Medicine Degree.

Students who are conferred (or they will be conferred by the start of the medical program) a Bachelor of Science degree in any one of the following major programs will be considered: Biochemistry, Biology, Genetics and Biotechnology, Health Sciences, or Nutritional Sciences. An overall Grade Point Average of 2.60 or higher is required.

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has partnered with University of South Wales (USW) to offer qualified students an opportunity to complete a Doctor of Medicine Degree, following the pathway program offered at USW.

USW is one of Britain’s leading universities. It is a multi-disciplinary university with three campuses located in Cardiff, Newport, and Pontypridd with a variety of programs that are inclusive, supporting lifelong learning and providing flexible options for our students.

GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools have entered a strategic partnership with the University of Waterloo to enhance educational opportunities for aspiring medical professionals in Canada. This collaboration creates a pathway for eligible graduates of the University of Waterloo’s BSc. program to gain admission into GUS Medical and Veterinary Schools.

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine has partnered with University of Windsor to offer qualified students an opportunity to complete a Doctor of Medicine Degree, following the pathway program offered at WU.

The University of Windsor, located in Canada, is a well-rounded university that prioritizes its students. With over 16,000 students enrolled in various undergraduate and graduate programs, the institution offers a wide range of educational opportunities.
