Ruhani College of Health, Business and Technology Partnership Agreement

New agreement with educational institution in Canada benefits future physicians.

St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine (SMUSOM) and Ruhani College of Health, Business and Technology (Ruhani), a Canadian institution that educates and trains students for successful careers in medicine, are proud to share their new partnership in support of future medical doctors

As part of this streamlined path to medical school, Ruhani alumni who have successfully finished the Pre-Med Program and maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (75%) will gain direct entry* into SMUSOM’s 4-Year MD Program.

Benefits for pathway participants include saving time and money on multiple applications to different medical schools, a confirmed admissions interview, dedicated support from the St. Matthew’s University team, and the ability to qualify for up to $135,000 USD in scholarships and grants!

Om Prakash Verma, Director, Ruhani College, shared: “Partnering with St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine strengthens our mission of creating clear, high-quality medical pathways for students. With our Pre-Med Program saving students nearly four years on their journey to becoming doctors, we are opening doors to world-class medical education and lifelong career success.”

“We are delighted to form this new partnership with Ruhani College, uniting our shared mission to elevate academic success, broaden global opportunities and support future leaders in healthcare,” added Sucharitha Konda, Business Development Coordinator for SMUSOM.

Since 1997, 2,300+ students have achieved their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degrees at St. Matthew’s University. Our students achieve USMLE, residency and career success thanks to our expansive curriculum, Student Support Services and dedicated attention from experienced faculty. They benefit greatly from spending Basic Science (semesters 1-5) on modern and safe Grand Cayman, and the extensive in-person training they receive during Clinical Medicine (semesters 6-10) rotations in the U.S. (core and electives) and Canada (select electives). Excitingly, our alumni practice in North America and internationally!

*To receive direct entry, Ruhani graduates must submit an application, share relevant academic transcripts, satisfactorily complete an interview with the SMUSOM admissions team, provide two letters of recommendation and write a personal statement (500 words max.).
