Maribel A. Aurelio, MD

Dr. Maribel Aurelio is a dedicated medical professor with a deep commitment to enriching the academic experience for future physicians. As a faculty member in the Department of Preclinical Science and the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, she plays a central role in shaping medical education and fostering a supportive, student-centered campus culture. She serves as a trusted mentor to student organizations, helping students explore clinical interests and develop leadership skills. She also actively contributes to institutional development through her work on the Curriculum Committee and the Quality Assurance Committee.

Stephanie E. King, PhD

Dr. Stephanie E. King has an extensive background in the fields of transgenerational epigenetics, environmental epigenetics and Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD). Her research investigates the transgenerational inheritance of disease following environmental exposures, including toxicants and stressors. She received her doctorate with distinguished awards from Washington State University and completed an Alberta Innovates Postdoctoral Fellowship in Research Innovation at the University of Lethbridge Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience. Her research has been published in several journals, including Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism, Developmental Biology, Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine, Environmental Epigenetics, and Communications Biology.
