Why did you choose St. Matthew’s: I chose St. Matthew’s because of the intimate class sizes and the fabulous location. I knew that with the professor-to-student ratio, I would get the individualized attention and guidance needed to succeed in this rigorous program. Grand Cayman is an incredibly safe and welcoming island, one where I knew I would feel comfortable and maintain that community feels that the island brings. I was so glad to find that my instincts were correct and that St. Matthew’s is a family. The professors are highly dedicated and supportive and I was able to make friends that I will have for life. 

What is the goal for your career: As I am just beginning my career, I hope to keep an open mind as to where it goes. I would love to keep my eyes open to fellowship, research, and leadership opportunities. I know I will be happy in any direction my career takes me, as long as I am making a difference in the community. 

What do you think about your match: I am beyond thrilled to have matched in obstetrics and gynecology, and even more thrilled to be joining the Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn team! Early on in medical school, my interest in women’s health began to grow, and through clinical rotations, my true passion made itself known. I am so happy to begin my career in my first choice specialty. I cannot begin to describe what it means to me that I will get to spend my entire career in this field. It is truly a dream come true
