Manchester University Partnership Agreement
New medical school pathway benefits aspiring physicians in Indiana, United States.
St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine (SMUSOM) is excited to share news about a recently established partnership with Manchester University, one of U.S. News & World Report Rankings’ top 10 schools in the Midwest for undergraduate teaching. This collaboration will enhance the admissions and financing efforts of Manchester students who plan to pursue a 4-year medical school education in SMUSOM’s Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
Successful Manchester students who meet all collaboration requirements, including achieving a minimum GPA of 3.0 and at least a 492 MCAT score, will receive a $10,000 USD partnership scholarship, a guaranteed admissions interview, and up to $95,000 USD in additional SMUSOM grants and scholarships. These opportunities make our accredited MD program more accessible for U.S. students who dream of providing meaningful medical care as practicing doctors.
“At Manchester University, students build a rigorous foundation in the sciences through close faculty mentorship and applied learning experiences such as our Medical Practicum,” shared Jeffrey P. Osborne, Director of Biology-Chemistry, Medical Practicum and Medical Laboratory Science Programs at Manchester University. “Guided by a commitment to improving the human condition and a history of strong student outcomes in graduate and professional education, this collaboration with St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine provides a meaningful pathway for our graduates to advance their training and become physicians who bring both scientific expertise and compassionate care to their communities.”
Established in 1997, SMUSOM’s legacy includes 2,300+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) program graduates. Our MDs have then gone on to practice medicine in the U.S., Canada and internationally. Thanks to our expansive curriculum, dedicated faculty and early hands-on training opportunities, SMUSOM students are well-equipped to succeed in USMLE examinations, excel during their U.S. clinical rotations (core and electives) and secure diverse residency placements post-graduation.
Beneficially, this medical education partnership has been established between Manchester University and all three GUS Medical Schools – Saba University School of Medicine, Medical University of the Americas and St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine.
